Insideretailing.com: A U.S. consumer study conducted byNCR Corp.found that modern consumers prefer to deal with retailers who offer self-service options. More than 77 percent of the 633 U.S. and Canadian consumers polled said they were more likely to do business with organizations that offer self-service; 92 percent of survey respondents said they also value combining mobile devices — like mobile phones or PDAs — with the Internet and kiosks or ATMs to improve the overall experience.
