NCR plans DVD-rental kiosk deployments to follow Blockbuster store closings

A report this week from Barron's notes that NCR plans to deploy its Blockbuster Express DVD-rental kiosks in parallel with the closure of Blockbuster's brick-and-mortar DVD rental stores. The report, which cited research from J.P. Morgan staff analysts, suggests that NCR may open as many as four DVD-rental kiosks in areas where Blockbuster closes a store.
The report goes on to suggest that NCR would not suffer if Blockbuster were to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy and close its doors.
