NCR names Mohsen Sohi senior VP of retail solutions division

April 11, 2002

DAYTON, Ohio -- NCR Corportation (NYSE: NCR) has named Mohsen Sohi senior vice president of its retail solutions division. He succeeds Tony Fano who is retiring after 40 years with the company.

Sohi, 41, whose appointment is effective immediately, will be responsible for NCR's retail business, including Web kiosk, self-checkout, electronic shelf label and point-of-sale solutions. He will report to William J. Amelio, executive vice president and COO of the retail and financial group.

Sohi joins NCR after more than 14 years at AlliedSignal and its post- merger successor, Honeywell (NYSE: HON), having held increasingly senior management positions. Most recently, he served as president of Honeywell Electronic Materials, a business providing semiconductor fabrication materials and interconnect solutions with revenues of more than $1 billion.

"Mohsen is a proven business leader and I'm very confident that he will bring to NCR the business and leadership skills necessary to guide our retail business forward," Amelio said. "I'm excited with the prospect of matching Mohsen's experience leading businesses to impressive growth with NCR's new retail solutions."

Sohi holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a doctor of science in mechanical engineering from Washington University and a B.S. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the University of Missouri.
