NCR exec sees market supporting 'tens of thousands' more DVD kiosks

NCR Corp. is committed to installing 10,000 BLOCKBUSTER Express DVD-rental kiosks and believes the North American market could support "tens of thousands" more DVD kiosks, Justin Hotard, vice president and general manager of NCR Entertainment, tells Home Media magazine. There are now about 7,000 Express kiosks installed. 

In addition, NCR is moving forward with its plans to rent certain movie titles at a premium price, and is running pilots that combine its self-service kiosks with brick-and-mortar retailers to sell entertainment to consumers, Hotard says.
