LOUISVILLE, Ky. - NCR Corp., displaying its EasyPoint 53 ATM and Personas 78 financial services kiosk, earned an overall best of show award from the kiosk industry organization Kiosks.org Association for the NACS Show 2001 and World Gaming Congress 2001, which both took place in Las Vegas during October.

NCR, which displayed a myriad of ATMs and kiosks at the NACS Show, was cited for the variety and strength of its machines.

"The NCR booth had multiple machines which were all great machines and delivering a solution in multiple financial solutions," Craig Keefner, Kiosks.org Association executive director, wrote in citing the Dayton, Ohio, company. NCR was also named best of show in the financial self-service division.

Designed for locations that handle fewer than 50 transactions daily, EasyPoint 53 features a 7 1/2-inch diagonal color screen. The Personas 78, which offers check cashing, ATM functions and money-order purchasing, is currently being allocated by convenience store chain 7-Eleven in 94 locations in Florida and Texas. A national rollout is scheduled for next year.
