PORTLAND, Ore. -- Thin client solutions provider Network Computing Devices Inc. (OTCBB:NCDI.OB) on July 23 announced the launch of a new management portal designed to streamline operations at NCD-powered computing environments such as interactive kiosks.
NCD's ThinPATH Management Portal is designed to provide a single installation point for a network of thin client servers. Software, updates, and patches can be installed at the management portal for operation on the entire system.
The system supports both PCs and ThinSTAR terminals and is one of several enhancements announced by NCD on July 23. The company also released version 3.0 of its ThinPATH management system, which allows system administrators to perform configuration changes across the entire network, and ThinPATH PC, a software program designed to transform PCs into thin clients.
The ThinPATH Management Portal will be available in August and is priced at $999 for 15 desktop management licenses; additional licenses are $59 apiece. ThinPATH PC is available immediately at a price of $119 per desktop license. ThinPATH management system 3.0 is free for current NCD customers.
