Naval Hospital Jacksonville celebrates 10 years of self-service solutions

September 9, 2016

The Naval Hospital Jacksonville, a military hospital, has been using self-service patient kiosks for 10 years. In November 2006, DynaTouch first deployed 25 interactive patient kiosks and has been upgrading them periodically for the hospital's main facility and its seven branch clinics in Florida, according to a press release.

Patients could use the kiosks to access the interactive customer evaluation comment cards. Each survey was designed specifically for the service provided at the branch.

In 2011, the hospital purchased 25 new kiosks with improved processors, graphics and larger touchscreens. Last year the hospital upgraded all the kiosks to connect them to the internet via the hospital's Wi-Fi.

"We salute our friends at Naval Hospital Jacksonville for their commitment to our men and women in uniform and their healthcare," Tom McClelland, Dynatouch co-founder, said in the release.
