Advanced Kiosks, a Concord, New Hampshire-based manufacturer of self-service kiosks, has advised Native American tribal governments to submit applications for the U.S. Treasury's Coronavirus Grant program by June 1, according to a press release. The digital connectivity grant can be used toward hardware and software for tribal members in remote areas to access services via the internet.
Federally recognized tribes can receive $167,000 for the purchase of hardware and software for accessing the internet.
The funds can go toward the purchase or installation of devices and equipment such as tablets, desktop personal computers, laptops and public Wi-Fi equipment to facilitate broadband internet access for communities where affordability is a barrier to broadband adoption and use.
