The National Database and Registration Authority is set to introduce self-service kiosks in Karachi, Pakistan to streamline the process of renewing expired or replacing lost National Identity Cards, according to a Daily Times report.
The tech-enabled kiosks will allow citizens to complete the application process independently, eliminating the need for long queues and manual paperwork.
Initially, the kiosks will be deployed in NADRA Mega Centers, followed by a wider rollout to airports, railway stations and shopping malls. Citizens will be able to input personal information, capture biometric data and make payments through digital channels. The authority aims to further enhance the service by integrating a point-of-sale system for card payments.
This initiative is part of NADRA's ongoing efforts to modernize its services and provide greater convenience to the public.
