Muskegon has become the most recent Michigan city to have Narcan dispensing vending machines to address opioid overdoses, according to an mlive.com report.
The machine was installed this month at HealthWest, a mental and behavioral health agency.
The Center for Behavioral Health and Justice at Wayne State University provided the machines this year to 15 Michigan communities including the Delta, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Monroe, Oakland and Wexford county jails.
Machines were also deployed at the Quality Behavioral Health and Abundant Recovery Services in Detroit, the Odyssey House in Port Huron, the Alano Club in Alpena, the Quality Behavioral Health and the Harm Reduction Michigan in Baldwin, and the Grand Rapids Red Project and Therapeutics in Walled Lake.
