Multimap shows new version of kiosk-friendly mapping software

LONDON—Multimap is demonstrating the latest version of its highly-functional API (Application Programming Interface v.1.2) at the Travel Distribution Summit 2007, Islington, London, today and tomorrow.

Multimap provides online maps, point-to-point driving directions and geo-spatial ("where's my nearest?") searches to mobile, PDA, kiosk and interactive TV platforms and in multiple languages.

The latest release advances bringing together searching, routing, mapping, geocoding and POI data and imagery into a single one-stop service. The service gives businesses new capability and control over their location services. The API offers new areas of functionality, such as overview maps, smooth zooming and automatic de-cluttering of icons.
