LONDON - Electronic funds transfer software developer Mosaic Software has reached a royalty licensing agreement with Microsoft Corp's European Operation Center (EOC) that will allow Mosaic to develop its software in conjunction with the software conglomerate.
Under the agreement, announced on Nov. 19, Mosaic will distribute Microsoft's SQL Server 2000 along with Postilion, the company's Microsoft Windows NT/2000-based electronic funds transfer software. Mosaic will also have access to beta versions of Microsoft products in order to test their compatibility with Mosaic products before they reach the marketplace.
"Our global partnership with Microsoft will mean that we are even better equipped to offer a unified solution," Stevi Lowmass, Mosaic Europe general manager, said in a news release.
The agreement was announced five weeks after former Micorosft executive Paul Maritz acquired an equity interest in the company and was named to Mosaic's board of directors (See story: Former Microsoft exec Maritz joins Mosaic).
