Morgan County, Tennessee license tag renewal kiosk reduces wait time

Morgan County, Tennessee's first license tag renewal kiosk was installed in February in the county's courthouse, according to a Decatur Daily report.

Kate Terry, Morgan County license commissioner, told the news outlet that, from its first day until the end of April, the kiosk helped 526 people and had processed $57,510. Terry added that anyone can renew a license tag for any vehicle, including trailers but not boats.

"I'm hoping it will appeal to people who normally would do it online or in the office but don't want to wait behind a dozen other people who are waiting to do titles," Terry told the news outlet. "It just makes their process a lot faster because they don't have to wait for five people that have lengthier transactions."
