Moonrise offers new self-service software

November 10, 2003

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Moonrise Systems Inc. has introduced the beta release of its NetStop 4.0 Professional software product for public access terminals and interactive devices.

The software, developed for Windows-based public computer stations and touchscreen terminals, integrates NetStop, Moonrise's Internet kiosk browser with its WebStats, a revenue and activity-reporting tool.

The distributed managed services tool will be renamed KioskWatch, and will include new and improved reporting and monitoring capabilities, according to a news release. The software will enable customers to deliver controlled Internet access and interactive self-service applications to any public or private venue.

"We believe that integrating the core functionality of NetStop Professional with the KioskWatch-powered application will reinforce the market's confidence and encourage even more deployments of public access kiosks. We're excited to be offering these leading edge technology tools," said Abbas Sadriwalla, chief executive officer and president of Moonrise Systems.

"We recognize the enormous potential for a `best-of-breed' public access software that's still priced competitively. An integrated product strategy was really the fastest and most effective way to capitalize on the growing demand," Sadriwalla added.

Moonrise Systems will directly sell the new software application. It will be made available to NetStop customers for advance purchase. Moonrise will continue to support customers using previous versions of their popular NetStop software. They will be eligible for a discounted upgrade to the new software when it is released.
