PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - A Massachusetts-based provider of information for patients in hospitals and clinics has selected MontegoNet to supply patient education kiosks.
MedSelfEd of Newton, Mass. will install the kiosks in hospitals and clinics to give patients access to information on pre- and post-operative issues. The company has a presence in 700 patient-care facilities, though the MontegoNet news release did not say how many kiosks will be ordered.
The kiosks will feature headphones for privacy, thermal printers, touchscreens, trackballs and keyboards. MedSelfEd chief executive John Samellas said, in the release, the kiosks would enable his company to "communicate important medical information to patients, track the presentation and test for comprehension."
