Money transfer company MoneyGram has secured the title sponsorship for the SocioMX Cup, a Mexican soccer tournament played in the U.S. MoneyGram partnered with the tournament's organizer, Sports Marketing Monterrey, to make this a reality, according to the press release.
The company is working with Sports Marketing Monterrey to also develop effective strategies for reaching Hispanics in the U.S. with its money transfer services, which are provided via kiosks, mobile apps and at storefronts. The MoneyGram SocioMX Cup itself will have four matches and will be shown on ESPN in 21 countries, according to the release.
