Mom-and-pop movie kiosks on the rise

According to the Fresno (Calif.) Bee, mom-and-pop DVD-rental kiosk owners are the latest wrinkle in the competitive arena of kiosk-based movie rentals.

Independent DVD-rental kiosk owners are following a similar business model to that of the independent ATM owners who are a significant part of the United States' ATM landscape, buying or leasing their machines from larger companies.
