Mobile firewood vending machine serves guests in Washington park

Moran State Park on Orcas Island in Washington State has installed a vending machine that allows guests to buy firewood, according to the Washington State Parks & Recreation Commission's Facebook page.

Dancing Tree Farms and Services on Orcas Island has placed a mobile firewood vending machine at the park that allows guests to insert $7 and get a bundle of firewood.

The posting said the no-contact service is welcome during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The wood will not harbor pests from other parts of the state since it is sourced on the island, the posting noted.
