Lamar County, Mississippi, will install five recently purchased temperature check kiosks in several of the county's government buildings: chancery court, circuit court, justice court and the two tax offices, according to a report in The Pine Belt News.
The kiosks will take the place of deputies and other officials who currently check temperatures with handheld devices. The kiosks also detect whether a person is wearing a mask, and will warn them if a mask is not detected.
Each device is under a 36-month lease at $119.25 per month, after which the county will own the kiosks.
