Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn., has set up dozens of computer kiosks for students' use around campus,according to The Free Press newspaper of Mankato.
The school has placed kiosks in hallways, situated so that groups of students can work at them together, and is looking to place about 20 more kiosks around campus in areas where students congregate to work together or socialize. The kiosks are seeing high levels of usage, with highs of just fewer than 1,200 users each day between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
