Minnesota clinic installs check-in kiosks

December 27, 2010

Patients at a women and children's clinic in St. Cloud, Minn., can now check in by entering their information on kiosks instead of filling out paperwork, according to the Sctimes.com.

"We are the two sites within the CentraCare Clinic system that volunteered to pilot this," said AnneMarie Vannurden, site coordinator for the CentraCare Obstetric and Women's Clinic.

The four check-in kiosks have been in the office since Dec. 15 and allow patients to review and update their information and pay co-pays or balances with a credit card.

Patient feedback has been positive, according to Pat Faust, Women and Children Site administrator, who said the kiosks will be around for at least six months.

"Then, depending upon the success, we're ultimately making decisions as to whether or not this would be expanded to other clinics," she said.
