GREENBRAE, Calif.-- MindBox, provider of intelligent automation software for the mortgage-lending process, has been selected by the editors of KMWorld magazine as the "Trend Setting Product of 2003" in the business-process management category. The announcement will appear in the September 2003 issue.
The winning software, ARTOptimize, works both online and off, through interactive kiosks, Web sites or call centers, according to a news release.
Using a combination of rules and MindBox's sophisticated inferencing engine to emulate the human decision processes, ARTOptimize can, for example, evaluate a loan request for a bank and, instead of just accepting or rejecting the borrower based on simple ratios and policies, the software can design and structure a completely different loan solution.
The software might suggest, for instance, that the customer close out a car loan and lump that debt into a larger first mortgage.
