Microcom's new thermal printer

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Microcom Corp., provider of specialty-use thermal printers, has introduced its Model 428M printer for kiosk applications.
The 428M thermal kiosk printer is the only 300-dpi, heavy-duty-use kiosk printer that can output on all types of media including tickets, wristbands and customer loyalty cards up to 11 mils thick at 8 inches per second, the company said.
Other printer features include USB connectivity and movable sensors that detect gaps, holes and black lines.
The Model 428M printer meets CUL, CE and FCC Class A requirements. It also complies with RoHS standards.
