Michigan non-profit installs Narcan vending machine

The Red Project, a Grand Rapids, Michigan non-profit, has installed a vending machine to dispense Narcan, which reverses opioid overdoses, according to a wzzm13.com report.

Nick DeHaan, the organization's outreach coordinator, said the organization got the machine through a Wayne State University grant and plans to place a dozen more machines statewide.

The Red Project placed the vending machine outside its building Friday and found it empty Monday morning, DeHaan said.
