The Jackson, Michigan library district will install five additional self-checkout kiosks at the Brooklyn and Summit branches under a $50,000 grant, funded through the federal American Rescue Plan Act, according to an mlive.com report.
The grants also allows the district to update the kiosks at the Carnegie, Eastern and Meijer branches.
A second $11,340 grant from the federal Improving Access to Information program will cover 10 laptop computers and 10 Internet hotspots for the district's adult literacy program.
