The Battle Creek Homeless Shelter in Battle Creek, Michigan, has installed a vending machine that provides 24/7 access to the anti-overdose medication Narcan, according to a Battle Creek Enquirer report.

The machine, stocked with 100 boxes of Narcan that will be replenished by the Substance Abuse Council, offers free boxes of the medication that reverses opioid overdoses.

The machine was made possible through a grant from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and the Battle Creek Community Foundation.

Each box has two doses of the medication, instructions for how to administer it, gloves, a rescue mask and resource information.
