Michigan gets first outdoor self-service library kiosk

Novi, Michigan public library patrons can now checkout books and movies at a self-service kiosk, the Lakeshore Lending Library at Lakeshore Park, Michigan's first such library, according to a dancgnews.com report.

The machine holds up to 235 browsable books. DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

The $70,000 investment was covered by $40,000 from Community Financial Credit Union and by taxpayers.
