Michigan expands license-renewal kiosks
May 20, 2010
The Michigan Secretary of State office has added another license-renewal kiosk to a growing deployment in its branch offices. According to a Secretary of State press release, residents have completed about 578,000 transactions on the kiosks, for a total of $57.7 million in transactions since they were launched in 2005.
The new kiosk, installed in the Davison branch office, allows customers to renew license plate tags without having to use the office's person-to-person services. Residents can complete the transaction using a major credit card or branded debit card.
