MGR unveils vandal deterrence device

February 17, 2002

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - MGR Industries has developed an anti-vandal cover for its Tufstik line of kiosk cursor units. The new cover is designed to make the Tufstik line more suitable to outdoor and heavily used public access deployments.

The Anti-Vandal device essentially adds a second layer to the preexisting cursor unit. A cover goes over the original cursor, with a hole in the center for the actual cursor itself. A knob flange goes over the top of the cursor itself to protect it while maintaining the integrity of the unit.

According to an MGR press release, the Anti-Vandal device is waterproof, can be cleaned with soap and water, and is resistant to heavy items dropped on it.

Based in Fort Collins, Colo., MGR Industries is a developer of products for public access applications, including keyboard, encrypted keypads, and joysticks.
