The Mexican government continued its crackdown on vape vending machines this past weekend, shutting down two such machines in Tulum, according to a Riviera Maya News report.
The machines have been prohibited by presidential decree.
Emigdio Morales, who oversees the Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks, said surveillance consists of sanitary control filters that secure vapers sold in shops and vending machines.
Fines for machine owners range between 95,000 pesos ($5,294.49) to 385,000 ($21,456.26).
