Meridian, a kiosk company, has launched its TransAct self-service software. This solution is designed to offer a bill payment application, according to a press release.
The solution is EMV ready and, besides bill payment, allows users to pay for service or an item. The system can accept credit, debit and mobile payments. TransAct is built on Meridian's Mzero Platform, which monitors the performance and security of the system.
"TransAct leverages our deep component integration and large component library to allow transactions from a very large inventory of devices to suit nearly any vertical market," Jeff MacDonald, director of software integration at Meridian, said in the release.
TransAct is also designed to support peripheral devices such as printers, card encoders, dispensers and scanners. Meridian has partnered with Florida International University, RentBox and Petersburg Area Transit to deploy the software solution, according to the press release.
