Meridian delivers kiosk printing on demand

A new feature in the company's digital signage software will allow users to update brochures remotely and print them directly from kiosks.

Meridian has added a printing feature called Print on Demand to its InterAct digital signage software. This feature will allow businesses to display their content on kiosks and allow users to print information directly from the kiosks, according to a press release.

Print on Demand uses thermal printers to deliver information to customers inexpensively, the company said. It also allows businesses to replace their physical brochures with digital options that can be updated remotely.

"Print on Demand originally started when one of our clients called and asked us to help them replace their brochure rack with a more affordable and flexible option," said Chris Gilder, CEO of Meridian. "They were having trouble keeping brochures up to date and needed a solution that could make lead times for new listings available to print immediately."

Print on Demand is now available as an enhancement to InteraAct, according to the release.

"InterAct is versatile and scalable," said Paul Burden, director of software at Meridian. "As we recognize demand for enhancements, we can incorporate them into the application swiftly, enhancing InterAct for current and future customers."
