Meridian and NEXTEP 'swipe & GO!' self-checkout kiosks will debut at NRF

ABERDEEN, N.C. —Meridian Kiosks and NEXTEP Systems are set to unveil their new swipe & GO! line of self-checkout kiosks at the National Retail Federation's "Big Show" in New York later this month. The kiosks will be displayed in the Hewlett Packard booth.
According to a news release, the kiosk line is designed to fit in any environment and have a rapid ROI. The focus of the brand was to make self-checkout simple, quick and reliable.
"Lines in stores are never a good thing," said David Annas, vice president of operations at Meridian. "I have witnessed many lost sales due to customers that don't want to wait to pay for items and just leave or turn away at the door."
