Memorial Hospital deploys pharmacy kiosk

February 20, 2019

Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida recently deployed a pharmacy kiosk system to allow patients to fill their prescriptions. Patients can take their prescription note and load it into the kiosk for a hospital pharmacist to virtually verify and fill the prescription, according to a report by WOKV.

The kiosk is available for use from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. to help handle higher volumes of traffic in the emergency room, according to the report. The hospital will fill the kiosk up with more than 150 medications to dispense to the customer.

Patients will need to also provide photo identification and an insurance card to use the kiosk, according to the report.
