Meijer super centers to stop accepting cash at self-serve checkout lanes

Meijer is converting all of its self-serve checkout lanes in its super centers to cashless only due to a shortage of cash availability, according to an nbc25news.com report. Staffed checkout lanes will still accept cash.

Company spokesman Frank Guglielmi said the change is necessary to manage the coin shortage in its stores.
