MEI launches coin acceptor for kiosks

May 14, 2003

WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- MEI, developer of electronic cash-payment systems, has introduced the Cashflow Series 9500, its newest coin acceptor for kiosks and other unattended retail systems.

The coin acceptor offers security features to maximize unattended transactions and guard against fraud, according to a news release.

The Cashflow 9500 has coin-sensing technology that measures up to seven characteristics of a coin, allowing it to quickly reject counterfeits, the release said.

MEI offers an advanced program interface on CD ROM to simplify integration of the coin acceptor into a retail system. A patented, bi-color diagnostic LED displays the Cashflow product's operating and configuration status.
