North Attleborough and Plainville, Massachusetts residents will be able to fill containers of PFA free water at a parking lot at 49 Whiting Street, from 7:30 am. To 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday while the town builds a new filter system for a public well, according to the town website.

The North Attleborough water division built the kiosk for members of sensitive groups, including pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children under one year old or persons with compromised immune systems to have access to PFAs-free water. While intended for these groups, the kiosk is open to all North Attleborough and Plainville residents.

PFAs are man-made chemicals used in industrial and consumer goods, according to a report in The Sun Chronicle.

Residents will need to bring their own containers to fill. There is no limit on the amount of water that can be taken.

This project was funded through a grant with the state department of environmental protection.

The kiosk will remain operational until the town's water system meets the new state regulation for PFAS6. North Attleborough is currently building a filter system for the Adamsdale Well and plans to have it working before the summer of 2022.
