Maryland town installs solar powered messaging kiosks

Hyattsville, Maryland, has installed solar-powered messaging kiosks in local parks: Huerich Park, Driskell Park and the Rhode Island Avenue Trolley Trail, according to a hyattsvillewire report.

The kiosks, designed by Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Soofa, the signs use electronic ink screen technology that automatically show messages from the city's online calendar and Facebook page along with other news.

The reverse side of the kiosk has a wayfinding map and links to city contacts.
