Maryland county installs library kiosk

Residents of Charles County, Maryland will be able to check out and return books at a 24/7 kiosk at the Nanjemoy Community Center, according to a report in The Southern Maryland Chronicle.

The kiosk also offers free Wi-Fi within a 100-yard radius.

Patrons can check out items, place holds at other library branches and schedule pickups using the kiosk touchscreen.

Funding for the kiosk was approved by the Charles County Board of Commissioners.
