Maryland city to install solar-powered parking kiosks

Ocean City, Maryland, will install solar-powered parking kiosks, according to WMDT-TV.

The new kiosks will replace "pay and display" kiosks on city sidewalks and in parking lots. Users of the new kiosks simply enter their license plate number before entering the time; they will no longer be required to place a receipt on the dashboard.

The Inlet parking lot will no longer require visitors to get a ticket at the entrance and pay at the exit. Users can pay by mobile phone via the Parkmobile app.
