IWAKUNI, Japan - New kiosks installed in a U.S. Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) in Iwakuni, Japan gives Marines access to local information, according to a Marine news release.
The two Touch Information Presentation System 2000 kiosks provide users with information about housing, access to local maps, events, dining and shopping.
Answers to questions about health and welfare benefits can be accessed as well. The information was formerly available only at the base's Housing Information Office.
"Iwakuni and Fort Campbell, Ky. are the only military installations in the Department of Defense who have this technology right now," Sue Kear, MCAS Iwakuni housing officer said.
