Visually impaired customers in Malaysia will be able to use vending machines equipped with assistive features under a pilot program from Atlas Vending and the Malaysian Association for the Blind, according to a marketing-interactive.com report.
Atlas Vending has installed 11 vending machines at locations chosen in consultation with the association.
In addition to Braille plates, the machines feature indicator lights and motion-sensor triggered audio instructions. The machines, which will carry canned and bottled drinks, will provide audio-guided instructions on purchasing drinks with cash and cashless payment options.
