The city of Melaka, Malaysia has installed a touchscreen kiosk that features an air quality monitor to help enable the state of Melaka to qualify as a "Clean Air Zone," according to a therakyatpost.com report.
The kiosk collects data on temperature, rainfall, carbon monoxide, wind speed and direction, sulfur dioxide, air humidity and noise.
The kiosk was launched to help tourists and motorists plan their journeys. It contains data from MBMB Smart City, MBMB i-Procurement, Melaka Historic City Council i-Traffic, Melaka History, and MBMB innovations like the Smart Online Warning Project.
Visitors can get information on alternative roads to use during periods of heavy traffic and learn parking availability.
