MagTek teams with MobileDemand on integrated magnetic stripe card reader

MagTek is teaming with MobileDemand to provide a custom tablet solution, MagneSafe IntelliHead, featuring an integrated magnetic stripe card reader, according to a press release.

The MagneSafe IntelliHead is built into MobileDemand's tablet for the secure reading of magnetic stripe cards. The IntelliHead provides magnetic sensing, media validating and a tamper-resistant security module, serving as a read head with built-in intelligence for the secure reading of magnetic stripe cards.

The unit reads up to three tracks of data, is bi-directional and meets ANSI, ISO and AAMVA standards.

The partnership also allows MobileDemand customers to use MagTek's Magensa Gateway services for integration to one gateway that connects to U.S. processors.

MobileDemand allows businesses to adapt to the pandemic environment with a mobile point-of-sale solution to expedite payments, registrations, drive-through, curbside pickups, quality assurance checklists and other magstripe functions.
