The Giving Machine, an initiative by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been in existence since 2017 and has expanded this year with 126 locations in 21 countries worldwide, according to a KMYU report.

The kiosks allow people to donate sleeping bags, clean water, food and supplies for others.

"We are grateful for people all around the world who sacrifice and offer donations to bring joy and light to others," Elder Matthew S. Holland told the news outlet. "As we share abundantly with others, we experience an abundance of light and joy in our hearts and homes. This is the true Christmas experience."

The Giving Machine has generated nearly $50 million in donations.
