Lufthansa Cargo has deployed 21 kiosks from the imageholders K Series to streamline its deliveries, complete with additional device integration, around the world, according to a press release. The two companies worked together during the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union, which caused disruption in travel, deliveries and manufacturing.

The most recent kiosk deployment was completed in Frankfurt in June, while two further kiosks are on order to be deployed in a new refrigerated cargo department.
Driver data is now recorded faster and the processing of truck drivers is more organized. Lufthansa has also benefited from readily available data and can track the performance at different times so they can improve efficiency.
"We've been working with imageholders for a number of years now to give our customers the ability to pre-register and shorten their stay with us," Yannik Kilb, Lufthansa Cargo application manager, said in the press release. "Since then, we have also been able to improve our internal handling times and simplify the process. Based on this experience, we plan to roll out more kiosks in other departments soon."
The goal was to optimize Lufthansa Cargo's handling times for both internal employees and truck drivers when receiving and delivering shipments.
The resulting kiosk enclosure hosts an Access IS Atom passport scanner, an Aures 15.6-inch AOI touchscreen PC and a customized thermal printer. A QR code can be captured on the passport scanner, ensuring that drivers would not need to spend time re-entering data and that their specific app could be updated without manual interaction.
