BROOMFIELD, Colo. - Fans in Nashville, Portland and Seattle will be lining up at kiosks to earn points in Ticketmaster's UltimateFan Loyalty Program this fall. The loyalty program provides rewards based on fans' repeat attendance at sporting events, concerts and shows at each venue.
According to a news release from kiosk manufacturer Kiosk Information Systems(KIS), Ticketmaster, the ticket retailer, will deploy 30 new kiosks this fall - 10 in Nashville at the Gaylord Entertainment Center, home of the NHL Predators; 10 at the Rose Garden in Portland, home of the NBA's Trailblazers; and 10 at KeyArena in Seattle, where the NBA's SuperSonics hold court.
The kiosks are branded within the venues. For instance, the Nashville kiosks installed Oct. 1 are called "Frequent Fang." Fans receive a barcoded membership card that they scan at a kiosk on each visit. The kiosk provides coupons for discounted concessions and merchandise, and fans can accumulate points for larger prizes.
The mobile units, designed by KIS, have touch screens, omni-directional barcode scanners and ticket presenters. Each one has space for team and sponsorship branding.
