Residents of Layfayette, Louisiana will no longer pay for parking at parking meters and will instead pay at a centralized, large touchscreen kiosk that resembles a robot, according to a kpel965.com report.
The kiosk will be at the corner of Garfield and Jefferson streets near a crosswalk.
Users will need to provide their license plate.
The rates will not change.
A similar unit is already in place at the Rosa Parks Lot.
