East Baton Rouge, Louisiana has taken the initiative to receive a portion of the $73 million the state is expected to receive under the bipartisan EV infrastructure law, according to a wafb.com report.
Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced a strategic plan for greater EV adoption, the East Baton Rouge Parish Electric Vehicle Strategic Plan, which includes upgrades to infrastructure.
The federal infrastructure bill provides nearly $5 billion over five years to build a network of 500,000 EV charging stations nationwide every 50 miles.
