SEATTLE-Loudeye Corp. is tuning up for a relationship with Synergy Media Group to provide digital music distribution services on Synergy's TouchStand media kiosks.
The Web-enabled, in-store media kiosks provide digital music content, top-seller lists, content searches, consumer data, and point-of-sale functions for music retailers, according to a press release.
Loudeye will wirelessly deliver digital music clips from more than 3.2 million songs to Synergy's kiosks. The company plans to grow its music archive to more than 4 million tracks by year's end.
"The TouchStand Media Kiosk offers music retailers a comprehensive solution and powerful marketing tool to help drive customer retention, [increase our] competitive advantage and increase music sales," said Michael Fitts, Synergy CEO and co-creator of TouchStand.
